Biography: Coming into acting was one huge leap for Abhay Deol. As he has stated in his many interviews, his father was particularly apprehensive of his decision to work in cinema. Abhay entered Bollywood with style, starring in Imtiaz Ali’s, cute romantic comedy “Socha Na Tha” opposite Ayesha Takia. The movie was lovable and cute. In 2006, his second movie “Ahista Ahista” was released. In 2007, he was seen in a multi star cast film “HoneyMoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.” Though the movie had many important and talented veteran actors like Shabana Azmi and Boman Irani, Deol’s role managed to stand out conspicuously from the lot. His next release the same year was “Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local”. The most important release for Deol that year was “Manorama Six Feet Under” which won him rave reviews in terms of both acting and crisp execution of a brilliant script.

In 2008, Deol came up with his film “Oye Lucky Lucky Oye” which became a surprise hit of the year bagging many Balck Ladies at the Filmfare Awards that year.

2009, was very important for Abhay. He was seen as the revamped, modern Devdas in Anurag Kashyap’s, Dev D. No one had ever seen a movie like Dev D in Bollywood. Call it the imaginative brilliance of Kashyap or the superb acting skills of Deol, Dev D went on to become a cult film of sorts. Audiences loved it. Critics gave it a thumbs up. It still remains to be the best work of Abhay Deol for most.

In 2010, he did “Road, movie” with Tannishtha Chatterjee. The same year, his film “Aisha” opposite Sonam Kapoor was released as well. Aisha received cold responses mostly. In 2011, he was seen in Zoya Akhtar’s “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.” The movie was like a fresh breath of air, after regular masala Bollywood balderdash we watch every Friday. It was keen and interesting. Abhay trained himself for deep sea diving for the movie.

He is working on his home production, for his company Forbidden Films, “Basra”. It will the first film of this banner. Deol is trained in KravMaga, which is a renowned Israeli martial art form.

In 2012, he was seen in the socio-political drama, “Shanghai” which people found immensely engrossing and brilliant. Deol has, in his little span of time in Bollywood, created a niche for himself. He is the actor who is known to do good, off beat, out of the box cinema and pretty much excel at his work. His acting is new and promising. Deol has a huge fan following. Abhijeet was born as Abhijeet Bhattacharya, in a middle-class Bengali family from Kanpur (UP). His parents were against his singing but Abhijeet went against his parent's wishes to become a singer. In Kanpur his family members were all musical, and educated professionals. Money was never a contextual concern. In Kanpur education and culture was all his family courted, leisure was driving around the tree-lined lanes on bicycles. Confident and feted for his success, today the star-singer lives in a Bollywood dream bungalow (named Sunny vistas) of white façade and red-tiled roof.


He was the apple of the community eye for his singing talents and Pampered and cosseted by a fond family, Abhijeet was the youngest of four brothers. He came to Mumbai in 1981 to study Chartered Accountancy. But owing to his fascination for singing and music he decided to pursue a career in playback singing. Despite being gifted with a melodious voice, he had to struggle for a very long time.


During his struggle period due to economic constraints Abhijeet had to reside in tiny rooms and stingy guesthouses. He returned to Kanpur but each time was drawn to the magnetism of Mumbai with a dream to be fulfilled. He was packing his bags after a long struggle in Bombay when he received a call from R.D. Burman to sing for Dev Anands son's debut film. Abhijeet also got to sing with Kishore Kumar, his idol, in the same film. It all happened to Abhijeet as he received a new lease of life when music director Ravindra Jain, gave him an offer to live with him. It was during his stay with Ravindra that Abhijeet's proximity to Bollywood grew in a phased and gradual manner. He began visiting R.D. Burman's residence and started getting frequent opportunities to sing for stage shows. Abhijeet got opportunities to sing as a chorus singer for music directors Rajesh Roshan and Jagjit Singh.


It was R.D. Burman who acted like a mentor to Abhijeet and gave him his first break as a playback singer in Dev Anand's Anand Aur Anand. The song was 'Waadon ki shaam aayi, yaaron ke naam aayi'. But the film flopped and he was struggling to find work again. For quite a few years after that he resorted to singing cover versions of Kishore Kumar hits.


In the 1990s he got his due rewards when the songs of Baaghi of Anand-Milind, 'Ek chanchal shokh hasina', 'Chandni raat hai' and 'Har kasam se badi hai' were Superhits. Today Abhijeet is one of the top names when it comes to male playback singers. He has entrenched himself firmly in the music world, with several other hits like 'Ole Ole' in Yeh Dillagi, the title track of Main Khiladi Tu Anari, 'Zara sa Jhoom loo main' Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge 'Teri ankhen jhuki jhuki' Fareb, 'Shaher Ki ladki' Rakshak, 'Jhanjhriya' Krishna, 'Tan tana tan tan tara' Judwaa. Be it a Sunil Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, or Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and now Hrithik Roshan, Abhijeet has sung for them all. He performed for many films like Baaghi, Sadak, Khiladi, Raja Babu, Yeh Dillagi, Yes Boss, Baadshah, Josh and Dhadkan and many more. After his success in playback singing he thought of singing pop. He launched two albums, Main Deewana Hoon and Tapori No. 1. But both albums did not click commercially. After these two pop albums, he launched Aashiqui, which was appreciated by audience. Recently he has launched a pop album, Tere Bina, whose songs and video are chartbusters.



He won the Filmfare Award and Screen Award for the best singer for his song 'Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon' in Yes Boss. He also won the MTV ASIA Award 2004. After that singing with most of the big banner movies and top music composers, the singer has once again hit the top charts.

Aquarian Abhishek Srivastav was born in February 5, 1976, son of Bollywood mega-stars, Jaya Bhaduri and Amitabh Bachchan, brother to Shweta, uncle to her two children (Navya Naveli & Agastye), and the grandson of Harivansh Rai Srivastav, Hindu and Urdu poet, who wrote under the pen-name of Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

He was enrolled in the prestigious Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School, both in Bombay as well as Modern School in Vasant Vihar in Delhi. After completing school he went to further his studies in Aiglon College. He also studied Business in the United States, but changed his mind and decided to try his luck in Bollywood.

Starting in 2000 with 'Refugee', he went on to star in many other films.

He has also been a playback singer in 'Bluffmaster', and 'Dhoom'.

Success did elude Abhishek at first, but the public starting appreciating him, especially for his role in 'Yuva', Bunty Aur Babli', 'Sarkar', and 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kahena' for which he has won a total of 6 awards. He also has two non-film awards, and has been the recipient of 'Yash Bharatiya Sammam' from the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

As far as his personal love life, he was engaged to Bollywood hottie, Karishma Kapoor, but the engagement was broken. Then he met Aishwarya Rai, who was his co-star in several movies, they got engaged, and were married on April 20, 2007 in Juhu, Mumbai. Festivities started as early as April 17, and continued with firecrackers and lights at the Srivastav residences at Pratiskha and Jalsa, as well as the Rai's flat in Bandra.

Confirming their pregnancy during the month of June, 2011, Aishwarya was admitted to Mumbai Hospital on Monday November 14, and gave birth to a daughter on 16 November, 2011.

Abhimanyu Singh (born in Patna, Bihar) is an Indian film actor who works mainly in Bollywood.
He made his debut in films with Aks (2001), directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. He got his first break with the role of Ransa Singh in Gulaal (2009), directed by Anurag Kashyap.[2] The role won him the 2010 Stardust Award for breakthrough performance.[3] He won praises for his role of Bukka Reddy in Rakta Charitra (2010), directed by
